Alicante Bouschet

Known for its red flesh, and its fruity, vibrant red-colored wines, Alicante Bouschet’s reputation has suffered due to its (sometimes encouraged) propensity to crop highly and produce very red but very thin wines. Alicante Bouschet or Alicante Henri Bouschet is a wine grape variety that has been widely cultivated since 1866. It is a cross of Petit Bouschet and Grenache.
