Beaune is better known for its historical heritage. His vineyard, however, offers to the enthusiasts many oenological treasures. The Soil is made of the traditional and well knows clay and limestone. Armand Heitz parcel is located in a magnificent combe, in the south of the Beaune area, on the border with Pommard. This coombe is slightly set back from the hillside and among trees. These trees make it possible to preserve a particularly interesting microclimate during sunny vintages. This microclimate will require a little more patience to reach maturity. This can lead to very pleasant citrus notes if the maturing is well done.
As Beaune is getting more and more notoriety, quality still hasn’t suffered and prices aren’t as outrageous as many other parts of Bourgogne have taken off. Try Armands wines in a blind tasting and you will a big difference in quality.
