Oupia Castle dates back to the 12th century and was owned by the Lords of Oupia. Among these Lords, the Sainte Colombe family lived in the castle for many years and gave it its current coat of arms. In 1860, the castle was purchased by the Iche family and has been passed down from generation to generation.
In 1969, André Iché took over the family business and began renovating the vineyard, incorporating new grape varieties suited to the terroir and preserving the oldest Carignan vines. Originally, the vineyard covered 5 hectares; it currently covers 64. Since his death in 2007, his daughter Marie-Pierre has managed the estate alongside her mother Marie-Thérèse.
