Domaine Guion was created in the early 1950s by Jean and Yolande Guion, the property was then in mixed farming.

In 1965 , the family estate, already concerned about the quality of its products and respect for the environment , chose organic farming by following the Lemaire Boucher method , one of the pioneers of Organic Agriculture in the Loire Valley.

Stéphane, the son, arrived and took over the keys to the family estate in 1994, after studying viticulture and oenology as well as various professional experiences in the Bordeaux region and as a cellar master in Chinon. In 2021 the estate began its conversion to Biodynamics (Demeter).

Domaine Guion is located in the heart of the village of Benais, on clay-limestone soil.

Vinification	The Authentique vintage comes from old Cabernet Franc vines on different clay-limestone terroirs of Benais, giving a wine expressing the authenticity of the Bourgueil terroir, aromas of ripe candied black fruits with a tasty minerality on the palate, accompanied and enveloped by firm tannins and a good length, a wine made without artifice, balanced and with good ageing potential.
