Vinification	The basis for the first-class and wonderfully elegant Fresh From Amphora Tinto Nat’Cool cuvée from Herade de Rocim are Malvasia Preta and Trincadeira Preta grapes. The vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on slate and granite soils in Alentejo. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Fresh From Amphora Tinto Nat’Cool can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.

About the Producer

Herdade do Rocim began in 2000 when José Ribeiro Vieira and his daughter Catarina bought the property in Portugal's Alentejo region, transforming it into a renowned winery focused on blending tradition with modern techniques, especially pioneering amphora wine (Talha) and emphasizing sustainability in the Vidigueira subregion. The early years involved extensive land renovation, planting new vines, and building the cellar, culminating in their first wines and establishing Rocim as a key player known for quality, innovation, and respect for the terroir.
