This project arises from the desire of three winemakers, Jorge Moreira, Francisco Olazabal, and Jorge Serôdio Borges, to make a wine together. The chosen region was Dão, a region for which we share a common admiration that originated from tasting older wines from the 1960s and 1970s, which surprise us with their elegance and freshness.
The identity and complexity of these wines are indeed remarkable and serve as inspiration for us to create our MOB, whether they are white or red. To realize this project, we took advantage of the opportunity that arose with the lease of Quinta do Corujão. Comprising two distinct vineyards, it is located in one of the coolest areas of the region in Seia, at the foot of the Serra da Estrela.
Pair it with seafood, grilled fish, chicken dishes and starters.
The combination of altitude, soils, and grape varieties of this property convinced us that it would be the right place to move forward. In 2013, another small property located in Gouveia with four hectares of old vines was leased.
