Nanua Winery In the late 18th and early 19th centuries, Ivan (Nanua) Chubinidze, affectionately known as Nanua Memarne, served as the esteemed cellar master for Georgia’s last king, Solomon II.
Renowned for his skill and passion, Nanua managed the royal cellar and crafted exquisite wines for the monarchy. Today, his descendants honor this rich heritage by continuing to produce wines with the same dedication and love. Their vineyards, situated in the villages of Sazano and Alisubani in Imereti, strictly adhere to bio-organic practices. Gia Chubinidze, the present-day cellar master, oversees every detail of vineyard maintenance and winemaking, ensuring all processes are performed by him and his family
