Crusted Port complements the Niepoort Vintage and Late Bottled Vintage styles. Traditionally, Crusted Port is selected from Vintage quality wines from two or three vintages, does not undergo any fining or filtration before bottling and is released three years after bottling.
This Crusted Port comes from Vinha da Pisca and small plots in Soutelo and Vale do Pinhão. The grapes were trodden in round lagares in Vale de Mendiz and the wine was then aged in vats in our cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia.
