The history of the João M. Barbosa family business is relatively recent compared to some Portuguese companies, but the personal experience gained is already significant.
And it is from this experience that the project was born, with a unique concept that promises to offer the best and surprise wine lovers.
Surprising through the wine itself, sharing new wine experiences with low-intervention, organic production, new grape varieties, and new blends. Surprising through the form, the image conceived and conceived around the concept of the blue rose, the company’s symbol, and the impossible images present on the labels.
Each of the two regions, Tejo and Alto Alentejo, has its own wineries and respective brands: Ninfa in Tejo (Adega Porta de Teira in Rio Maior) and Lapa dos Gaivões in Alto Alentejo (Adega Valle de Junco in Esperança, Portalegre). These two properties produce organic grapes and produce signature wines that are authentic, unique, and true to their terroir, as we avoid intervening in their natural fermentation process. These qualities are enhanced by the fact that each harvest is filled in a single batch.
