O Estrangeiro is a great Dão wine, elegant and sophisticated. From is a field blend of old vines, planted in granite soil. The Dão region has its own micro climate, is temperate with large temperature variations, especially during the ripening and harvesting period and very typical morning fog gives freshness to its wines.

It is, above all, the result of a desire and a dream. “God wills,Man dreams, the Work is born” is Fernando Pessoa’s poetic expression that can best help us understand the circumstances in which the idea arose and the work was built.

About the Producer

Herdade do Rocim began in 2000 when José Ribeiro Vieira and his daughter Catarina bought the property in Portugal's Alentejo region, transforming it into a renowned winery focused on blending tradition with modern techniques, especially pioneering amphora wine (Talha) and emphasizing sustainability in the Vidigueira subregion. The early years involved extensive land renovation, planting new vines, and building the cellar, culminating in their first wines and establishing Rocim as a key player known for quality, innovation, and respect for the terroir.
