Celler Pardas is a project that began in 1996 with the help of two local winegrowers who understand the Bitlles Valley winegrowing area (Alt Penedès) better than anyone else. Ramón Parera and Jordi Arnan have a 60 hectare estate where they use a completely organic and low intervention philosophy.
As a result, they create unique wines with a marked character and a clear expression of each vintage.
In the vineyard, Pardas is committed to simple work, with no tilling or fertilisers. Instead, they work with spontaneous plant covers that help maintain soil moisture throughout the year. This is based on organic agriculture avoiding the use of herbicides, insecticides and synthetic products.
In the winery, the winemaking process is equally non-interventionist, respecting the raw material as much as possible.
With a wild boar’s footprint as the company logo, Pardas Negre Franc is a statement of intent. A red wine that emphasizes the terroir it comes from and the native varieties of the Penedès area.
