The history of Bodega Primitivo Collantes SA dates back to the 19th century, with the arrival of the brothers Primitivo and Tomás Collantes to Chiclana de la Fra., from the Iguña Valley, in Santander.
A few years later they acquired a cellar at number 51 Ancha Street in this town, which is currently their headquarters. This cellar is known as “Bodega El Gallo”.Later, hard work led to the expansion of the business through the acquisition of a plot of land where the aging cellar for these wines is currently located. This winery was established as a regular company in 1946. In 1973, it became a public limited company, adapting its bylaws to the regulations in force in 1992.
