The love and passion of Diamantakis family for high quality wine and their long tradition in viticulture was the motivation to create a small winery outside the village of Kato Assites, south of Heraklion. Their aim was to cultivate varieties that would lend themselves to the unique microclimate of the area.
With 15 hectares spread over different areas of Heraklion, vines were planted according to the best location for each variety. The climate is typical Mediterranean and the winds of the Aegean Sea have a big impact on the growing environment.
